Choosing a Vegetable Brush Washer

Assess brush contact, wash-water distribution and incoming soil before choosing a root-vegetable washing configuration.

01 / selection

Match contact to the vegetable

Root size, skin condition and the acceptable level of surface damage affect brush selection and dwell. Give a range of incoming sizes and describe whether the duty is removing adhered dirt or a different surface-treatment requirement.

02 / selection

Provide a path for the removed soil

Spray distribution and drain arrangements must move loosened material away from the product. Discuss solids collection, wastewater and any separate grit or stone handling; the brush bed is not a universal destoner.

03 / selection

Make maintenance accessible

Check brush-change access, nozzle inspection and safe isolation. Feed and discharge elevations should suit the connected machines, and access covers must allow the proposed cleaning procedure.
