A machine with a defined processing duty
The reference machine presents root vegetables across a bank of rotating brushes beneath a spray header. Brush contact turns and scrubs the product while water carries loosened soil away. It is a concrete washing unit, not a universal destoner.

How it works
Feed → working element → output
Feed spread and roller speed determine dwell and contact. For carrots and similar roots, brushes can remove adhered dirt; stones, grit and heavy soil need a separately assessed drainage, settling or destoning arrangement. Product damage and wash-water quality are separate checks.
Upstream & downstream
Receives a controlled bed from a conveyor; discharges to inspection, trimming, pressing or pulping preparation. Destoning is a separate line choice when incoming material contains stones.
Cleaning & maintenance
Brush beds, spray nozzles, drains and splash zones need physical access for cleaning and periodic inspection. Wash water does not substitute for a validated product decontamination step.
