Describe the product across the process
Juice, puree and thick sauce behave differently, and the same recipe can change during heating or cooling. State solids, any starch, typical temperature and whether the product contains pieces.
Follow the largest particle
Particles affect screen openings, pipework, valves, exchangers and filling. Describe the largest intended particle and whether it must be preserved intact instead of relying on an average description such as smooth or chunky.
Review transfer and mixing together
A pumpable product still needs a suitable agitation and discharge arrangement. Include transfer distance, buffer duty and the filling condition in the enquiry so the interfaces are assessed alongside each machine.
